Jaguar Coaching Staff
This will be Coach Koerkenmeier's 12th season at BVW and his 5th season as the head coach. He played at Blue Valley High School and Emporia State before starting his teaching and coaching career at BVW in 2008. Coach Koerkenmeier teaches Social Studies and is also an assistant track coach. He is married to Darcy and has two kids Kynleigh (8) and Kacyn (6).
Coach Copp is a 2005 BV West graduate. He played football at BVW. He’s been in education for 11 years, coached football for 14 years, and his 8th year at BVW. Coach Copp has been married to his wife Amy for 9years. They have 2 daughters, Charlotte (5) and Madison (2). He teaches Modern World, U.S. History, and AVID.
This is Coach Cat’s 14th year coaching high school football, 6th year at BVW, and 9th year as a defensive coordinator. He played in high school at Vernon Hills High School in suburban Chicago. After graduating from VHHS he attended Bradley University where he played rugby. Coach Cat teaches mathematics and also coaches freshman wrestling at BVW. He is engaged to Nellie and has 2 dogs, Daphne and Payton.
Coach Stone graduated from Emporia State University and has been coaching football for 23 seasons. He has been a counselor at Blue Valley West for 7 years. He and his wife Holly have two children, Rylie and Jackson.
Coach Bandy was on the Jaguar's first football staff when the school opened in 2001. He took some time off from football and is now in his 9th year back on the staff. He is originally from Iowa, graduating from Iowa State. He teaches Psychology, AP Psychology, and heads up the Social Studies Department. Coach Bandy is the Head Boys' Golf Coach and is the Defensive Line Coach for the JAGS. He has been married to Sara Bandy for 19 years and have two twin 9th graders, Jackson and Kaden.
Coach Dickerson is in his 2nd year teaching at Blue Valley West. This is in his 2nd year coaching football at West and 3rd year coaching football overall. He graduated from the University of Kansas. Coach Dickerson is also an assistant softball coach at West. He is a part of the Business Education Department. He teaches Business Essentials, Marketing and Personal Finance.
Coach Lowe is beginning his 33rd season of coaching high school football. He teaches Physical Education and coaches receivers. He started at West when the school opened and has been the only Head Wrestling coach in the school’s history. He is married to wife Staci, a PE teacher and Head track coach at BVSW. He has 3 children, Briana, sophomore at K-State, Brooks, a junior at BVW, and Brynn, an 8th grader at Aubry Bend.
This is Coach Holehan’s 2nd year coaching high school football, 1st at BVW. He played in high school at Oologah High School in Oologah, Oklahoma. After graduating high school, he played baseball at the NAIA level for Oklahoma Baptist University and Central Christian College. Coach Holehan teaches mathematics and also coaches baseball at BVW. He and his wife, Kirstyn, have been married for 6 years and are expecting their first child in August.
This will be Coach Howard's 3rd season at BVW and his 33rd year coaching football. In his most recent tenure, Coach Howard served as the offensive coordinator for Lee's Summit West High School, and helped lead the Titans to 3 state championships. He is married to Susan, and has 3 children, Blaise (24), Chance (20), and Morgan (9).
Joe Allison is in his 3rd season as the head baseball coach as well as coaching football and teaching PE at BVW. He coached football and baseball at Leavenworth HS for 16 years. While at Leavenworth, Coach Allison spent time as the defensive coordinator, special teams coordinator, head middle school coach, and worked mainly with running backs, linebackers, and defensive backs. Coach Allison played college football and baseball for 2 years at Benedictine College before transferring to Washburn University to finish up his last 2 years of football. Joe is married to his wife Heather (10 years) and has 4 children, Chase (11), Brayden (9), Judson (4), and Sophie (2).
